Some followup to daryn's post.

I checked the forum view stats 5 times yesterday. Each time, OOT had significantly higher viewership than BBV4L.

I posted a screenshot earlier. Here's one from the last time I checked last night and another from a couple of minutes ago:

For comparison, here are the post numbers that Sniper posted:

BBV4L - 1329
SSNL - 1058
BBV - 997
OOT - 990

Like I said, OOT (and BBV) has had far higher viewer than BBV4L every time. That's a much more relevant measure of 2+2 forum success than post count numbers.

In terms of success within 2+2, OOT continues to go super strong. In terms of quality of content there, that is of course subjective.

Are there changes that could make it better? Sure. Should the mods consider things to improve the forum? Sure. Anyone here with specific criticisms or suggestions should make them and OOT mods should take these points under consideration. But just saying crap like "OOT and OOT mods suck, things should be changed!!!" doesn't add any value.

To go off of El D's point, I'm just making an assumption here, but I would think 2+2's advertising revenue is more likely to be based off of page views than posts(unless of course they just charge a flat rate), so even from a business perspective post count #s are likely meaningless.

I do like that this whole thing is being talked through. Good job to all involved.

Yes, based on the facts above, OOT seems to be just fine. However, if the mods want to get even more feedback than they have already and shake things up a bit by playing around with some changes, I'd be glad to start and be facilitator of an OOT suggestions thread. I'll defer to the OOT mods as to whether or not they think that necessary/productive/positive.
