Is that TD considered running up the score?

[/ QUOTE ]

Should have ran it in backwards, LDO.

That really puts a dent in Buffalo's chances at a comeback.

What was the actual fair line for this game?

kidcolin 11-18-2007 11:54 PM

Re: ***OFFICIAL*** New England-Buffalo Thread

should take a safety and then punt it backwards on the kickoff

Can everyone at least agree that the Pats run up the score? Not judging if it's right or wrong, but at least admit that they are doing it?

[/ QUOTE ]

Their offense does what they're meant to do - score points. Also your comments about injuring Brady are ridiculous, you complain about the Patriots classlessly running up the score, so your response is to try and break someones leg? Disgusting imo.

[/ QUOTE ]

its not about intentional injuries IMO

but at 42-10 NE is probably a 500/1 favorite

NE could drop to the 3-5th best team in the NFL if Brady got hurt, its reckless leaving him in there

Should have run back to the Pats 1 yard line and kneed it so we could eat up clock with a 99 yard drive.

Run it backwards to the 1 and bring out Brady to lead "The Drive". No huddle no timeouts.

I don't think NE has done anything offensive in this game.

I do think they should have just kicked the FG against Dallas with < 30 secs left up by two TDs or whatever it was.

But you want people to stop playing in the 3rd? that's silly imo.

I like how the guy that is getting carries tonight for the Pats is also on kickoff coverage.

Good point, this is why the Pats should relax on scoring. Their fans might die in the stands if they continue to score.

I think against the Jets we will be up 42-0 in the first half then just start punting on first down in the 2nd.

66 Rochester vs. *Fort Porter, Oct. 10, 1920

I was joking, and I pointed that out a few posts later. Running up the score is classless, but injuring someone on purpose is bordering on not having a soul.

I've always hated Brady and the Pats but I gotta agree here. Also they at least make it watchable through the entire 4 quarters. I mean you know you're gonna see scoring. Their utter domination of everyone else combined with Buffalo's comical ineptitude and ability to lose in various heartbreaking and entertaining ways makes this game thoroughly A+ pleasurable imo.

Yeah, really. The cognitive dissonance displayed by the retards calling the pats classless for actually doing what they're paid to do (score points), while at the same time arguing that injuring Brady in retaliation is somehow OK, is simply staggering.

I don't want to start a whole American vs. European sports ethics argument, but this whole concept of running up the score being unethical would be unthinkable in any European sports. It's just not thought about. I really, really hope the Pats continue to do what they do, and hopefully they will bury the retarded concept of running up the score being unethical in the process.
