Yo, Tony...

The beard is 36-years-old, my (twin) daughter is 8, I've rowed 2 million meters in my 60s, swim 100 miles a year, and can pass for 45. Oh, and I'm fat.

Meet you at Peter Luger!

You're in your 60's and have a 8 year old daughter? Sounds like there's at least one fat stud around.

Tony,

The beard picture looks worse A- because 15 lbs extra shows up in the face alot B- that's a horrible beard.

When I grow out a goatee, I look better, as it gives the face a little more definition and makes it less blob like and hides the double chin some. If I were to grow a full beard, it's back to looking like a blob again.

bison is basically right about weight. Us fat people shouldn't be ok with being fat. It's a good way to shorten your life.

I'd like to hear some reasons why everytime I see a picture of a convicted paedophile in the news, he has a beard and usually thick glasses too. What's going on there?

Dids,

Are you ok with being fat? Are you doing things to change that? Sorry for the personal questions, I was wondering if you've been involved in these recent threads on getting in shape. FWIW I feel like I'm about 50 overweight and I want to lose it. I'd be interested in starting an OOT fit club if you, and others, are. Let me know through here or PM.

BTW,

I'm still totally undecided on this.

I wear a beard for a week or so, then keep it shaved for a week or so. My g/f says shave it, my work buddies say keep it. What say you now OOT?

The full beard's a bad choice. Have you tried a goatee, per Dids' suggestion? His reasons for advocating that are good imo.
