Christ this is setting me up for the biggest upset ever. FWIW I really wouldn't be against having some sort of wildcard system, although I was saying earlier, getting knocked out now would at least save me the 5k in opportunity cost this contest is probably sinking. The people in this comp seem like pretty stand up type people so I think poles are fine. It'd be pretty wack to create gimmicks to try and win. (Plus you'd need to create heaps)

how about voting via PM? if the poster is registered for less than 30 days or has less than 200 posts it shouldnt count?

it would probably take way too much time, but theres gotta be a better system than the poll

24-12-8 or 24-16 would probably be better- I just threw out the wildcard voting at the end as a way to do it.

And pole voting probably is worse than posting in a thread.
Thread method also brings inherent potential bribery and other coercion which is good for BBV imo.

As for voting...it may throw the forums out of whack for a few days, but why not just one thread for each matchup, stickied to the top of the forum?
