Yeah insurance for that hand was really dumb. I think Farha and Adams got ripped off....and Jman mucked 13,000 dollars. Gold gets lucky again and catches straight when Negreanu had a nice hand. Can't wait till Gold loses all his money in the 500k buyin.

Sammy had no idea about insurance, as soon as BA accepted the deal PH offered, Sammy started to get interested.

[/ QUOTE ]

THat was so funny. Sammy was clueless about the insurance. Heck he wanted to chop it. But then like you said, when Brandon jumped on it, Sammy thought it must be good.

Then he berates Brandon for not getting the better odds. LOL.

Sammy is such a goof.

just the funniest thing to me is the people who talk about him being starstruck...since theres not like theres any pros that play on full tilt

[/ QUOTE ]

You seem to be doing a pretty good job of half-heartedly defending him. What does playing against someone online have to do with being starstruck playing against them in person. The two things have ZERO to do with each other.

That is like saying when you chat up that hot "supermodel" online, that your game is going to be the same when you are standing in front of her in person.

For guys used to dating supermodels, it might be the same. For guys who have never gotten closer to a super model than a bottle of lotion can bring them... it would not be the same at all. No matter how comfortable they might be chatting to them online.

I've spent the last couple years during play at my local B&M casino explaining how much tougher the play is online as opposed to live and generally how much better online players are.
Jman just gave the livers some serious ammo. His performance was dreadful.

[/ QUOTE ]emm... well that's obviously a good thing. Tell those guys to deposit and play online as evidently even the high stakes players are pretty bad.

gold would probably be grilled pretty good...but those who went after jman last week is really going to attack him now and thats jut what im dreading, since i wont be able to get out of it

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm sure most would lump me in the group who "went after jman last week," however I don't see the point in repeating it all again this week. He made a simple mistake that 99% of the people on this board (and at his table) have made at one time or another.

What is humorous is that so many who never hesitate to destroy the play of others are labeling any critics of jman as haters. Some of you should go work for the Clinton political machine. They are masters at the art of destruction when it comes to dealing with nay-sayers.

The whole insurance thing is completely ridiculous.
What *really* pisses me off more than anything however is the complete lack of dignity you show the losing player, in this case Eli.

[/ QUOTE ]

Since Eli is the one normally fronting Phil insurance, you can't feel too bad for him in this particular case.

I don't have a problem with the insurance. I think Phil is screwing around myself.

Yay no more Jman after this week. What a douche. Love all the fanboys here defending his mistakes but picking on every little thing jamie gold does. Someone even mentioned how they were annoyed when jamie asked daniel what he was eating last week.

I know jman is a poker god but why sit there all quiet with this huge ego like you're too good to open your mouth and chat a little with all these live donks? It's refreshing to see some players can have fun and talk while gambling for high stakes. Hell even brandon adams was more entertaining.

That was me who made fun of Jamie Gold asking Daniel what he was eating, which was hilarious.

:Gold: Hey Daniel, is that greasy?
(Daniel ignores him)
:Gold: Uh oh, can't let someone ignore me.
:Gold: HEY DANIEL, IS THAT GREASY?!? I ASK YOU AGAIN BECAUSE IT IS IMPORTANT AND NOT BECAUSE I AM EMBARASSED THAT YOU IGNORED ME!!1! SO FOR REALZ, IS THAT GREASY? WHAT'S THE 4-1-1, DOG?

I'm an equal opportunity hater... Gold is a bit of a wanker and Jman looked like a goof when he mucked at showdown. It is possible to laugh at both things, you know.
