Don't open raise to 4x otb when there is a 14bb stack in the sb, try to pay more attention to stack sizes around your tables. Tiling your tables might help with this.

youre not playing well at all if you are on 10+ buyin downswing at 2/4.

what a dumb statement

[/ QUOTE ]

No, it's dumb to think losing 10 buy-ins is a regular, routine thing if you're a strong player at such a low limit, especially if you 8-table for 2bb/100 and think you're 'crushing' the game.

Nothing wrong with being a slight winner I guess, but don't think these big losing streaks are unavoidable.

[/ QUOTE ]

2ptbb/100 would be an excellent long term winrate in the current games on tilt/stars. 3-4ptbb/100 would be crushing.

if you're in the 2ptbb/100 range long term, you're certainly a strong player, and 10-20, even 30 buyin downswings will be a regular occurrence for a player with that kind of winrate.

do you play on non-us sites? this isn't 2004-2005 anymore. these kinds of swings are 100% undeniably unavoidable in the current games on US sites.

Only getting one street of value with KJ was criminal vs a big fish.

vs MCMK you opened 4x with AA, he made it $40, you 4-bet to $160 around 100bb deep - can you see why this is not best?

uh, yes they are. Come back when you have layed over 50k hands lifetime plz. For a good player at 5-10 a 15-20 buyin downswing is pretty standard and prob. happens once every 100k hands.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think my 450k hands experience are enough to speak from. I said 2/4 in my post, not 5/10 as you mention. I agree with you; I'm sure a 15 BI drop in 100k hands is inevitable at those stakes even for good players. Again, I don't play 12 tables for 100k hands a month, I play 3-4 tables and do a lot better than 2bb/100 at non-US sites.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sure, for a 2bb/100 player. But unless you're an American playing at high stakes, you'd do better to improve your game and winrate than to accept these ridiculous downswings as the norm.

yes
