Billy just let the Dodgers have Esteban Loaiza for nothing. All the Dodgers have to do is assume the salary. Loaiza is owed ~$1.3m for the remainder of this season and $6m next year.

I really don't understand this move at all. Loaiza started off slow last year but finished very strong. At $6m he is a bargain. I guess the conventional wisdom is that Loaiza will suck next year because he will be 36 years old.
