Re: ***Official Stars Regs Thread***

I think it unlikely that anyone is beating 5/10 over a large number of hands for in excess of 1.5 BB/100 (and probably less). There will however be plenty of people who play 50K hands and win a decent amount and assume partly because of the bad play of many opponents that these games can be beat for large sums and seriously underestimate the affect of the rake.

I have about 1K of hands on many who have posted in this thread and nearly all are down in that very very small sample size. 5/10 is tough even with the large number of poor players at the tables.

I'm going to have very little problem achieving Supernova by about June at 2/4.

How many VPP do you average per hand played at 2-4?

Thanks for the stats. I don't get the conversion.

Let's say I am platinum star, and get 2.5 FPP for every VPP.

At 3-6, you are saying I get 70 VPP or 175 FPP per 100 hands.

Each FPP is in effect worth 1.6 cents. For example, you can buy into the $215 sunday tourney for 13,500 FPP.

175 * 1.6 cents = $2.80 every 100 hands rakeback at 3-6. That's about ~0.5BB/100, not 2.4BB/100. And it would be a little less for gold stars, a little more for supernovas.

What am I missing?

I made Supernova 2 weeks ago playing almost exclusively 2/4 this year(less than 4k hands of 3/6 and 5/10). It takes about 190k dealt hands at 2/4.

the total rake paid at low limits is 2.4 BB/100 hands not the rakeback.

I have read (and calculated) that platin is like 22-23% RB and supernova is about 27%

i don't play a ton of tables or anything so you guys might not recognize me, but anyone got any opinions on my play? (mainly 3/6 on stars, some 2/4)

i have completely changed my limit philosophy recently.
