WTF is that, is it legal, and was that basically the refs saying "Hey guys that was [censored] lame as hell dont do that 5 yards?"

[/ QUOTE ]

That's what I'm wondering.

How does Les Miles not know that's a penalty. Is it really that hard to check the rulebook before you try a gimmick play like that? Oh, and great runback by Alabama obviously.

I mean, its not like something went wrong on that play, they pretty much executed it perfectly...it was just illegal. Dont you think Miles could have like called someone up and asked them if the refs would allow them to do that? Like, maybe at some point before a tied conference game in the 4th quarter?

I just really wish the officials could leave us alone.

I'm not one for blaming the refs, but damn. This really is getting insane.

We had a team in like 8th grade football that would have their linebackers run full speed up to the LOS and then slam on the breaks, and since our O-line guys were a bunch of 8th graders, they'd flinch and react pretty much every time, and it would be called a false start.

After about the third time in a row that the other team did this, the refs just started calling offsides every single time no matter how ridiculous it was and no matter how far from the LOS they stopped. This kind of seemed like that.

14 penalties for 131 yards LOL, they trying to set a record?

Les Miles to Michigan countdown gets even shorter for Buckeye Fans.

Re: College football week 10

It's 4th and inches, Miles has all of the OL shift in toward the center in a bid to get the DL offside. It works, but it's also a 15 yard penalty.

Miles called this strange play where the entire line sets, then shifts in, which I hear is an illegal snap simulation.

He tried to move 6 linemen in motion at once, thinking it was legal because their hands weren't down when it's actually a penalty for "simulating a snap".

The oline went up to the LOS, but didnt get set or put their hands down, and then all at the same time they like shifted 3 feet to the left, which looked like a snap and of course all the Bama guys jumped across. They called it "simulating the snap" because I guess it was although usually thats like a Center or QB thing I think.

Well most of these penalties have been pretty good calls, and LSU has gotten favorable review calls.

I might just be super frustrated by all these penalties. I swear I have seen like a bunch of PI and holding by Bama that has not been called. If and LSU player looks funny it's a flag.

Well, considering how that half went, amazing that SUNJ is only down by 9. Maybe they can come out in the 2nd half and be pumped. Gotta get in the end zone when you drive down to the red zone though.
