Personally I'm still depressed about losing the series to the gnats. It was just awful in so many ways.

A win tonight would really help though. Game 1 I expected us to lose anyway.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, this one is sort of the opposite situation though, so I've got high hopes for tonight.

Meanwhile, Andruw is scratched.

Andruw was slated to bat 6th too. Wonder if it had anything to do with that. They did say sore back, but I dunno.

God Smoltz is sick. Glad to see Jeff Francoeur is still kicking ass.

Anyway... not sure how good of a chance the Braves have at the division, but the wild card seems like a good possibility. Go Braves.

You dont pass or fail in 3 games during the season. If you knew Bobby Cox's managerial style you would know that. Baseball is a marathon, not a sprint. 3 starts isnt enough to determine much.

Tonight was just another example why Smoltz will be a first ballot HoF'er.

Lerew's elbow was shot the whole time. He's off to the DL.

umm...i was talking about this specific game. redman didn't start it, they gave Lerew a chance and he didn't put it together.

He came out with an elbow injury. Go back to your team, thanks.

lol dude why the hell are you so defensive? i was directly addressing the comment

[ QUOTE ]
Hopefully this is the last straw. Cox looked kinda pissed when he came out of the dugout to take Redman out.

The Braves need to either trade for another starter or just go with a young guy.

[/ QUOTE ]

Simply reminding the guy that they were going with the young guy, he failed(whether due to injury or not) and they brought Redman in. It doesn't matter what 'the last straw is,' Cox had no choice to use Redman here. That's all I was saying, you silly Braves fans! As far as "go back to my own team," well, lol, I'll let you sit on that one for a while.

Salty with one hell of an AB there. Hope it doesn't take too long to get that glove ready at first. Thor can handle LF..

I think we can all agree it was the right move. They brought up Devine but he's probably just a temp. Hopefully one of the other guys in the farm can step up.

Kyle Davies crushed that HR to center. He's the Mets killer.

6th K Davies homered to center, A Jones and W Harris scored.

wtf? no way.

James282 05-22-2007 09:21 PM

Re: 2007 Atlanta Braves Thread: Reclaiming the NL East

It was a pure bomb. I mean he murdered the ball. Davies was actually on top of a lot of the pitches he swung at tonight.

I just picked up Scott Thorman.

I have nothing else to say really except that I am rooting for him.

200 for Smoltzy and 2 of 3 from the Mets!

And if I see Kelly Johnson make another error in a crucial spot he's getting an anthrax letter.

We've had a tough schedule. Boston or the Yankees...hmmm..who would I rather play. The Braves have had injuries and the Braves will still keep beating the Mets all year long. There are still 9 more games right.
