Depends on their location....
If they are located in the remote areas of the Amazon, then they can last a very long time. If they are located in close proximity to civilizations with a strong central govt, then they will be lucky to last a 100 years.... Nations that were adjacent to Gheghis Khan's territory didn't last very long....

So true, so true. I often ask how people who some desperately want tax cuts also so desperately want war? How are you supposed to pay for the war? Whatever though, "modern conservatism" as you call it is really neo-conservatism, and neo-conservatism developed from liberalism. So yeah, they really don't know what the f they want, and become very hypocritical. Good post.
