In all likelihood, Jeff Francoeur is as at least as good as Andruw Jones in CF.

on defense? I realize Andruw has declined severely as a defender (from best ever to average, I suppose) but why do you think Frenchy would be good at it? I am aware he played CF in the minors, but the Braves front office has shown no indication of using him there, which is telling. Perhaps it's because if they move Jeff to CF, that leaves them will a seriously weak arm in right (Harris/Diaz)?

He's a great defender in RF, which usually translates to at least average in CF. Sometimes guys are better in CF (Ichiro, for instance).

Mark Prior's name deserves more mention. The man is essentially a paper doll, if he stubs his toe he's out for the year. Sportscenter wants to tout this guy as the 2nd coming of Walter Johnson because he had a reasonable season in 2003, the problem is, he's got 45 career wins and gets paid to see doctors. The Cubs are laughable, and this guy is a big reason.

Lovely. This is mentioned constantly. I fail to see the relevance. Cubs ownership signed him to be part of the franchise future, and to consistently deliver lines like 17-9, 3.15 year in and out. He thusfar in 6 years barely has 17 quality starts, let alone being even close to worth what they're paying. As a business owner, what does it matter what the reason is? He's a bust and has basically withered down to having no career, and the Cubs have paid for it. You don't think this qualifies as being a dissapointment?>

Well Brien Taylor is a pretty big dissapointment this season as well. He should have been closing in on 300 wins probably late this year or next, with the great Yankees offense and all.

He's only a disappointment if you expected him to be good. And if you expected him to be good, you're dumb.
