keep in mind that PHX was going to give up Amare Stoudamire for him!

[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah that's wrong.

[/ QUOTE ]
No it wasnt. There was a proposed 3-way deal with CHA which would have sent Amare to CHA in return for KG, while MIN got parts from each.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think CHA proposed that deal. According to PHX mgmt, they would never trade Amare for KG. I would, not happily, but I would.

Maybe that wasn't the best deal, but numerous deals involving Amare were being talked about, as well as numerous deals involving Marion. I'm sure just about every possible scenario got worked over in the PHX front office, and then they decided to sell draft picks instead.

haha.. nice.

The Cs as constructed match up pretty decently with San Antonio and Dallas, IMO. Probably best with SA.

"match up pretty decently" is very optimistic of you, I think what you meant to say is "it's slightly better than playing the suns"

The Celts have holes, but they also have the potential to be the best team in the NBA. Hats off to Danny Ainge.

While most teams play for either the present or future, the suns play for the past. Interesting strategy we will see how it works out. Can we just start the 08-09 season when the league finally becomes unrigged>

No.. "decent" isn't a very strong word, bro.

KG and Duncan essentially cancel out. Parker is much better than Rondo, but Rondo can at least keep up with him defensively, and Parker would have a little trouble defending Rondo.

Ginobili would give the Cs fits, but even given SA's great defense, it's hard to believe Allen wouldn't get a nice amount of looks. Pierce is an attacking beast and he and KG would be one of the tougher front court combos SA's interior D would have to deal with. Pierce would definitely get to the line and draw some fouls.

Obviously, coaching, bench, and chemistry favor SA a great deal. But if Boston can manage to reach its full potential with this personnel, I think they could take 2 off of SA. Add in some variance and Pop falling in the shower and a 7 game series wouldn't shock me.

Artdogg,

I heard Wes Mantooth is taking Donaghy's spot.. not good news for D'Antoni.
