hold on to Hayes.

11. Steve Francis??? (sort of the same deal that put Michael Finley in San Antonio....2 years for 6 M total is a very reasonable risk if Francis can play at the half the level he did in Houston the 1st time)

Silly me, I forgot every team nowadays has 9.5/9.3/1.7/.82 athletic 7ft 21 yr olds with 3 years NBA experience, catch-everything hands, and can run the court like most PF can.

As opposed to the much more rare 6'3'' shoot first PG/SG with suspect ball handling and no range besides a ft line jumper. God those are such an asset.

whatever dude I love Biedrins but Monta is going to be a star. The point is that Monta + Andris + Wright is a potentially awesome future and I really don't want to trade that away. Your description of Monta just makes me think you don't watch very many warriors games.

I watched plenty of Warrior games this year, though not as many as I would've liked since I'm in SoCal for school.

Monta can be very lazy with the ball. Sure, when he's driving he's golden, but that's mainly because he can just blow by everyone not named Harris or Barbosa. But in bringing the ball up court and dribbling around the perimeter, he is prone to getting the ball stolen. I dunno if its laziness or not paying attention or something, hopefully it can be worked on.

If you don't think he's a shoot first pg in the mold of Gilbert rather than a pass first like Baron, well I guess we disagree there.

He is also not a 3 point shooter. Not saying he can't learn some range, but right now he has that move where he dribbles to the top of the key and pulls up that he sinks regularly and well. But he's probably not in the top 5 of guys I want pulling up for 3 on this team.

This is not to detract too much from Monta, because he still is young and already talented and still with plenty of potential.

But so is Andris, and he's 7 ft tall, which makes him a clear cut bigger asset in my opinion.

Monta's passing has improved a ton since he came into the league. I think what you mean by "lazy with the ball" is that he's a 2nd year player out of high school. When biedrins gets the ball he just needs to turn and shoot, Monta is responsible for the offensive flow of the entire team, which is much more difficult. This is a kid who averaged 35 ppg in high school, of course he's shoot first, but he's young and has the talent to develop more range and will become more comfortable with experience. is a negative? as for barbosa, please see this clip. Also, Monta can fly. Again, I love biedrins, and I don't particularly care which one is better right now, I want both to be a part of the warriors future.

He's not saying it is. He's saying they're roughly equal right now (which is wrong; Biedrins is much better), but the rarity of size makes Biedrins better. Position scarcity matters you know.

Sloan got his bread and butter of the pick and roll back in Williams and Boozer, and killed AK's strengths on the court by moving him to 3. He's much, much better as an undersized 4. They really need to ship him.
