I feel like you guys are overestimating how hard/complicated poker is. I think most reasonably intelligent people can learn to become winning players with the right resources.

meh, I read the book and understood most of it and still can't beat Stars 15/30. The book's merely interesting on its own--it takes takes a ton of tedious work and practice to put it to good use. Hats off to Hoss and co.

It's mostly basic probablility and statistics. They do use some fancy notation which prob scares some people away.
