LB-In, 2nd in Career Wins. Don Nelson in. Jerry Sloan is in as well.

Most cusp guys are Adelman-Doubtful, Karl-Doubtful. Thing is nowadays if your name isn't Daly, Jackson, Riley, Brown or Popovich you don't have a ring.

Larry Brown is 5th in wins. Don Nelson is 2nd.

FWIW Larry Brown IS ALREADY IN!!!! Inducted in 2002.

Chris Paul? He's not even the best PG in his draft class.

Thats correct Drew, but Rice and Johnson were far better players than Laettner (sp?) in college. Christian had amazing talent surrounded by him while Rice and LJ were superstars in college. If Laettner nevers hits that shot against Kentucky is college career isnt as highly regarded. Also, LJ and Rice were great players in the NBA and legitament all stars for a few years while Laettner was never anything special in the pros and was forgotten about after a few years.

Read any objective list of the greatest college players in history and you'll always see Laettner in the top 5. Rice and LJ are nowhere in that discussion.

LJ's surrounding talent at UNLV was just as good as Laettner's, if not better.

Yes, both were better pros, but Laettner did make the all-star team once and played for a long time.

And if my aunt had nuts she'd be my uncle.

Just looking over some historical stats. Check out the 87-88 All NBA teams:

First Team

Charles Barkley 85-86
Larry Bird 80-81
Magic Johnson 79-80
Michael Jordan 84-85
Hakeem Olajuwon 84-85

Second Team:
Clyde Drexler 83-84
Patrick Ewing 85-86
Karl Malone 85-86
John Stockton 84-85
Dominique Wilkins 82-83

Every single guy on both teams is a HOF'er. In addition, McHale, Jabbar, Zeke, Moses, Cheeks, English, Worthy and Parish were all still playing at a fairly high level. That's 18 HOF'ers playing at the same time (and I may have left some out). Are we under-rating players today, or was the talent level at the top of the league much better then?

I added in everyone's rookie year. Most of these guys had not played 5 years in the NBA at this point. They also had longer college service so they were bigger and stronger when they entered the league. If you were to say in 1988 that everyone on this team would be HOFERs people would give you the same look as people saying LeBron or Wade should be MVPs. Looking at this list the only people who you could make good arguments for being slam dunk HOFers at this point in their career would be Bird and Magic.
