Yeah, both the biscuits and gravy and the chicken sandwich aren't actually on the Wendy's breakfast menu board. They are on little handmade signs stuck in the ground with stakes. Really. I don't know if they're being test-marketed or something, but the chicken sandwich is great and I've heard good things about the gravy too.

I was referring to meat, not eggs, obv. Is it standard in lots of places? I've noticed people ordering turkey on their breakfast sandwiches in the grill line at work and I was sort of shocked. Where I'm from, breakfast meats include ham, bacon, sausage, steak, or chourico (Portuguese sausage similar to chorizo).

I was going to say the same thing.
Although I think it might have been even longer ago than 15 years but I can't remember for certain.

I worked at Wendy's for a few months when I was 16 and that would have been 1987. We had the 'Super Bar' then which was a really lame Salad Bar and I had to try to hold back my vomit while cleaning out the Blue Cheese container (the heat and steam from the water combined with the detergent and the blue cheese itself gave off the most moxious fumes ever).

I thought their experiments with serving breakfast came BEFORE I had worked there in 1987 but am not positive on that.


Anyway, suffice it to say that I'm f'ing hungry just reading about the Wendy's breakfast and may even intentionally drag myself out of my place during morning hours just to give it a try.

I generally hate breakfast food, so I doubt this will have quite the impact on my life as it apparently will on others. That being said, from the looks of the menu, and the general higher quality of food served at my local Wendy's compared to McDonalds/Burger King/etc., I'll probably be getting this a few times a year.

Hash Brown is indeed a whole one. I prefer the mini's like at Burger King or Hardee's, so [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] Frescuit does appear to use the same buns as the Frescata sandwich, which is ridiculously horrible. I've ordered two, and both times the bread was tasteless and hard. I guess it's supposed to be healthy for you or something, it definitely tastes like some sort of diet food.

Unfortunately, the jackass who took the picture blocked the Grande Burrito, but I think the speculation is correct that Big Breakfast Sandwich is the winner. I personally hate sausage biscuits of any sort, so looks like French Toast Sticks for me.

BTW, I'm really surprised to see all the love for McDonald's in this thread. Have they had some sort of campaign to clean up and serve better food in the past 10 years? Maybe it's just the [censored] ones in dirty ass Memphis, but I stopped eating there about 10 years ago. Fries were always horrible (agree Wendy's is 50/50 if you're getting good fries or not), and just about everything on the menu was disgusting. Should I give them another try?
