Re: TV: What are you watching? 6/16

I'm into that new show on Lifetime (...Lolz I kno, I kno) called Army Wives. It airs @ 10pm EST on Sundays w/ replays thru the week. There has only been 2 airings so far, but basically it has been about the lives of the spouses of men/women in the armed forces. One wife has known her husband all of a few days before getting hitched. One wife is secretly a surrogate for a black couple to provide for her family. One wife is being abused by HER SON!!! Good stuff. Add in the effects of being at war and group hierarchy differences and I'm there.

Again, I think it is all about the casting. A lot like with Greys and other shows that have been successful, the ensemble is the key. The "stars" of the likes of Kim Delaney (NYPD Blue) and Catherine Bell (J.A.G.) don't overwhelm the storylines. Actually, they do a very good job of complementing the lesser known actresses in the other two wife roles.

The girl that plays Roxy is particularly intriguing. Strong up-front but very feminine when it counts (I love that BTW). Plus it doesn't hurt that she's good looking. She is the wife who barely even knows her husband. Looking forward to seeing how it unfolds.

If I do multiple TVs I'll be running in and out of rooms you know.

I will probably focus on Age of Love and catch Hell's Kitchen on the commercials. Good plan?

I doubt that watching Age of Love will require much focus.

Yes, except the commercials are likely to overlap...

Ahahaha! This poor guy. He looks rather stunned. Man I feel like such an idiot watching this show. I hope Odell is watching it with us. He has pretty good taste.
