Well, this makes the SF-Patriot deal a bit nicer for the Niners if they only have to give up the Colt's pick next year instead of their own.

[/ QUOTE ]

no no - the Patriots have the 49ers pick. The 49ers get the Colts pick. the 49ers don't get to choose which one they ship to the Pats

(that is, if the SF/Indy trade is right...it really doesn't make a lot of sense)

Peyton sprains his pinkie toe. Out for the year. Colts finish 5-11. Get the 7th pick in next years draft. Oh wait, they just traded it.

Brian Leonard to Jets?

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't you dare say that. I want to root for Leonard in the pro's.

Come to Jax Trent Edwards, come to Jax. Or Tim Crowder, both work for me.

That's a 2 outer there, Peyton is Mr. Reliable. That said, yeah that would suck. But hey that would mean that this Tackle is worth a 7th pick right...right...*tiny tear.

Me too. But I thought the Jets would love him.

The Giants would even more

Your prayers are answered, but this pick is odd for the Jets, don't they already have Vilma.

All,

I know many of you are upset with your team's drafts, but remember that it could be worse. You could have drafted Kevin Kolb 36th overall.

Colts trade up with 49ers

Indianapolis Colts: Acquire pick No. 42 (select OT Tony Ugoh).
San Francisco 49ers: Acquire pick No. 126 (fourth round) and Colts' first-round pick in 2008.

49ers trade up with Patriots

San Francisco 49ers: Acquire pick No. 28 (selected OT Joe Staley).
New England Patriots: Acquire pick No. 110 and a first-round pick in 2008.

[/ QUOTE ]

The 4th rounder is nothign really, and the first rounder is likely to be very late. That said, to use it to get this Tackle makes little sense to me. Glenn is getting old, but you could probably get a better OT that year with that higher pick.

You can't just give away 4th round picks unless you're Washington and those late/mid late 1st rounders offer some of the best value in the draft.

I just don't get any of this.
