Eh, the upgrade is imminent chaps, so just to be clear, once it's done and settled/rolled back, we mods agreed that we'd request a split along the lines of 50-, 100+. We feel this split is probably the best in terms of general groupings, and with an eye to future splitting - the two groups have natural ranges for futher splitting, imo.

So you know. Comments please. Name suggestions welcome too, if you like.

50NL-: Micro Stakes Full Ring
100NL+: Small, Medium, and High Stakes Full Ring

Hopefully eventually we'll see 100NL/200NL classified as Small Stakes Full Ring and 400NL+ classified as Medium-High Stakes Full Ring.

This would at least be consistent with the classification used by the 6max forums.

And hopefully, we will have an increase in traffic postsplit, and by Feb/March have Small Stakes FR, Medium/High FR, uNL FR.

I'm guessing it will take a lot longer than 3 months to get the second split, but you never know.

I do expect more medium and higher stakes players to participate once we split.

I would guess it would take at least a year for the next split.

CUZ IVE RUN LIKE ABSOLUTE [censored] FOR THE LAST 1.5 MONTHS

[/ QUOTE ]

This game can be downright nasty.

This happened to me a few months ago and I started playing other games (which I ran crappy at as well fwiw).

You just have to play through it, even though sometimes that can be quite a long time, like several months.

But one day you'll explode and be on fire like you were before. And then you'll be convinced that the bad streak was just a fluke and you are the best player in the game. You'll start making plans to move up and take on the bigger games.

And then another bad streak will inevitably come.

Hope this helps. [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Re: ***Official November Chat Thread: The Golden Duck***

Someone has to be on a heater with the way I am bleeding money last few days. Downswing currently at about a grand.

I dropped down to NL25 and played a few 6 max tables last night for a change of pace. Same ole thing there. This hand played out there about the way the last 4 days have been.

I raise 55 from EP, BB calls. Flop comes 2/5/10, BB checks, I bet 2/3 pot, BB calls.

Turn brings an A, BB bets out at me, I 3 bet to roughly pot or more, BB calls. River is a Q, BB bets half pot and I fist pump and shove and expect him to show me AK or AQ. He turns over KJ for the straight.

Had AA vs. KK twice on Wed. night and lost to set on turn on one, river on the other.

Just can't win right now. I only need 8k pts to make Nova, so I may be playing NL25 for next few days or so. Bordering on being underrolled for NL100 right now.
