49ers acquire pick No. 126 (fourth round) and Colts' first-round pick in 2008.

That said, to use it to get this Tackle makes little sense to me. Glenn is getting old, but you could probably get a better OT that year with that higher pick. Cody |
Re: The Official NFL Draft Thread
With Pitt taking Woodley does that mean they are definitely going to a 4-3?

All you guys bashing the Colts draft are cracking me up. I remember the last time the Colts took a WR in the first round they were heavily criticized for taking a non-need position. How's Reggie Wayne working out? I know everyone thinks they're Mel Kiper jr. today, but the chances that you know more than Bill Polian are basically zero. [/ QUOTE ] I somewhat agree with you - but at the same time this line of thinking means you can never criticize Polian (or Scott Pioli, or whoever) |
Re: The Official NFL Draft Thread
Well, this makes the SF-Patriot deal a bit nicer for the Niners if they only have to give up the Colt's pick next year instead of their own.

Re: The Official NFL Draft Thread
I think I prefered Jarret to Rice, but I still like Rice.
Just to expand on Peterson. QBs are more important than RBs. QBs are less injury prone than RBs. I like Tavaris Jackson, but there is still a very good chance he becomes Seneca Wallace. Chester Taylor and Mewelde Moore are very serviceable. Quinn has a pro body and played in a prostyle offense. I hate ND I hate the Pats and Charlie Weis and I still think Quinn>>>>>>>>Peterson I also add that instead of seeing that pick I was at the Jays game watching them blow the game. Since they drafted a good reciever in the second round I am off suicide watch, but still on life tilt. |
Re: The Official NFL Draft Thread
Brian Leonard to Jets?
EDIT: Make that David Harris. Bad pick considering they already have Jonathan Vilma at ILB. Brian Leonard to the Giants would be the nuts. |
