Micro, ironic that your post is back to back with the guy saying the number is less meaningful because all our titles are in men's bball.

Anyway, I was just responding to what others said in the thread. And yes, I do want everyone to hate Missouri. Is that so wrong?

suzzer, nice breakdown. I definitely get tired of the Wizard of Oz references. If any of you want to hate on Kansas and piss people off, that's your ticket. Also, the thing you were looking for that people associate with Missouri is meth production.

I thought Jefferson City was named after Richard Jefferson in advance honor of his being the first major sport athlete to come out of the closet.

The Mizz/KU flame war is much better than the UM/OSU flamewar. I mean, no one in the UM/OSU thread thought to post hot chick pics and the flames are meaner and funnier. I think that's definitive proof that the Mizz/KU rivalry is bigger. As a Big 10 homer, this disappoints me. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Anyway, I'm not sure what a couple of you mean about inferiority complex. Wikipedia says they have 2 Big 12 titles in all sports, not sure what the other one is besides softball. Kansas has 17. Also, Missouri has won 2 national team titles versus 9 for Kansas. There are certainly schools that can argue about athletics superiority with Kansas, but Missouri has never been one of them.

Love that quote. Applies to MU/KU most years. The rivarly used to be pretty ugly back in the 70s and early 80s. This is a revival of sorts.
