pretty much the only time i edit a thread is to remove something NSFW or racist, in which case i leave a note.

with locks / deletions, if that is happening 95% of the time someone is getting banned and will receive notice. if not i post in the thread.

Okay, if this is already hapenning, my apologies. I was under the impression that people weren't necesarily always notified based on what I've read in ATF, but I could be wrong. Still, maybe letting them know specifically the line that they crossed instead of just "editted for nsfw" could be better.

9 out of 10 people saying 'why did i get banned' in ATF just ignored the rules, ignored the note in the ban box, sucked before and continue to suck.

this is what i'm saying, the biggest reason people think OOT is mean and vicious and crazy is that idiots come here all the time and say so. and malcontents who have nothing better to do than cry about the internet back them up.

I agree that a lot of them do plain suck, but there are some who have flourished in other forums such as bbv4life, and while that may not be a positive to you, the fact that they are liked by some of the all-around respected posters over there has to stand for something.

It's true that people go over the top in bitching about you here, but you can't surprised about that given your sarcastic and antagonistic style, especially when you lump them all together as "idiots".

as an outsider, this is getting beyond stupid IMO. nt, u get hit with [censored] too much in ATF, just link them to previous threads because this happens too much...

i don't even post there and i could prolly tell u guys most of what that sticky says, so i guess no excuses for not conforming to the rules...

whatever, argue what u want that nt keeps the good posters away, seems like weaksauce, but it seems dumb to blame him for the [censored] threads that pop up anyway

Guys, I'm pretty sure what we really need is OOOT, with looser guidelines than OOT but still nothing close to BBV4L. I kind of miss having OOT be something like an RSS feed of interesting internet crap.

I think a bigger reason is that when they come here with complaints...even stupid ones or ones where they are somewhat insulting of you and your mod-ego or whatever....you frequently jump all over them and do so in an incredibly rude way.
