I have tried to keep my head over Ankiel. I have resisted the homer-esque temptation to cream my pants over this guy, unlike every other baseball fan in STL.

I have resisted the trend to say "OMG THIS GUY IS BETTER THAN PUJOLS!!!!!!11" But, I am starting to think that 1) he is running very hot right now, but 2) he is very likely a very good baseball player. I don't mean necessarily superstar or anything, but a legit all-star. Maybe.

I think it's not only possible, but likely that he's a future all-star. Mediocre AAA players turning into very good MLB players isn't all that rare.
