A Viet dealer I was friendly with back in my live playing days told me once, "Vietnamese love gamble. Somebody die, go to funeral, bring cards, gamble."

I cracked up.

Incidentally, this guy has a pinky finger stumped at the knuckle as though it had been cut off. I never did get that story out of him.
