Re: I want to start threads too / suggestions thread - II

I'd like to start a thread about deception in communication. This is something that's bothered me for a while in things like commercials, the business world, relationships, politics, etc. Something Anacardo said in his thread, about his displeasure with the idea of PUA, sparked my desire to write about this. I'm interested to hear what people think.

I have a couple of other thread ideas about similar types of psychological/philosphical stuff that I would like to write about down the line as well.

El D,
You put my suggestion in your list, and I'd be happy to start it if you let me post...

All,

Just FYI, when I update the thread list, I'm putting everything suggested on there, not just ones I think are good.

I want to start a thread entitled "Things that you laughed at, but then realized that maybe you shouldn't have". Can I?

I'd like to see a thread on staying informed.

As in gathering news, info, etc.

For example, I have a subscription to the Economist. It's a weekly news magazine. But, I can never finish one issue before the next one comes. How do people keep up w/ the mulit-media avalanche of info? What sources are wothwhile, and how do people consume them? Do people scan for interesting tidbits, always read key columns, etc.?
