Default 2/4 NL AK Shove-a-dub-dub

Sweating 400NL. My friend is playing loose and aggressive, but hasn't been at the table long. The hand right before this he had AKo on the button - UTG raised to 14, he made it 46, and got c/r all-in after firing $65 at a Q104 flop.

So then, the very next hand, he has AKo again in the CO. New UTG (no reads) makes it 14, my friend raises to 46. UTG calls.

Flop ($96): Jd7d2h - he has black AK. Check, Hero bets $65, UTG thinks and calls.

Turn ($226) 7s- UTG insta-checks, Hero shoves for about $260.

Relevant stack sizes are about 100bbish. Good? Bad?

I don't like it. Your friend has a good image, now wait for a hand so they pay off.

I think I'd try to peel off a gutshot on that first hand.

I think I'd bet a little more on the flop for a better risk/reward for when I push the turn on a bluff.

As played... hmm. Metagame considerations are pretty interesting here. Villian will likely interpret this play in one of two ways.

a) Tilt/Frustration
b) Representing Tilt/Frustration

Since villian is unknown, I think a is more likely. I think he looks up hero with most pairs.

Hand 2 seems like a pretty basic spew that can be fine occasionally in some spots. Maybe this is one of them but it's pretty hard to say without being there. Hand 1, just to mention, is a spot where I really like a check on the flop. It doesn't give up your chance to take it down on the turn because checking the flop looks like QQQ. And it gives you a chance to turn the nuts when he was gonna c/r the flop and you were gonna have to fold.

Change the 7 to a nine or a ten and I like it. As it is, the flop just isn't coordinated enough to pull this move.

didn't see the need to go into hand 1, but the Q and T were clubs and he had red AK - it was the first reraise he made and figured a c-bet would be the best move there. i think a check works too, but the hand itself wasn't that special.

as for the second hand, the insta-check looked like a flush draw or jack, so he pushed.

I think most J's look him up (which is the villans most likely hand). I dont like it. If he floated, then hell fold, but checknig is better imo.
