There are C(52,3) = 22,100 flops. There are C(40,3) = 9,880 ways to form a flop out of the 40 cards that are not Q, K or A. So 9,880/22,100 = 0.447. So the probability is 44.7% which is odds of about 5 to 4 against.

For those who aren't comfortable with combinations (this guy) i just took the probability that the first card isn't an A,K or Q, multiplied it by the probability that the second card isn't and so on.
(1-(12/52)) * (1-(12/51)) *(1-(12/50) = .447 |
