Default Big Brother is Watching You! The end of more than online poker!

I was 15 and a sophomore in high school when I first read Orwell's book 1984! As an adolescent, I thought to myself, thank God we do not live in a society like Oceania. We as Americans have rights and freedoms! We can do whatever we like, provided we are not hurting ourselves or others. Well, here writing to you I say every American is now nothing more than a "Winston Smith!"

This at first may seem a bit absurd, but let's look at this rationally. Today there are cameras every where you go! On the Pennsylvania turnpike (I76) if you use their electric transponder (the kind so you don't have to wait in like at toll booths) and your average speed of the trip is above the speed limit they mail you a ticker! You do not even have to be caught doing something wrong anymore!

I am 26 now, I have a job, but I did at one point have to play poker for a living! I know what grinding it out is like. Putting with stress, bad beats, down swings, sore eyes! That is a hell of a lot more than these senators and house reps who make 150-180k a year. What are they doing? Soliciting sex from 16 year old boys! If they are not pedophiles then they are chasing tail around Capitol Hill rather than doing their Job!

OK, now that I ranted about that let's take a look at what this Bill will actually accomplish. Well, now that people cannot place a sports bet on the Internet, the government should be happy to know that at least the bookies are behind them! I mean they will be right back in business! I mean its obviously much more safe to place a bet with a Mafia connected bookmaker and if you win go pick up your money in a dark alley rather than in your own home! I mean let's face it, how many people have had someone from a Internet sportsbook show up at their house to collect a gambling debt with a baseball bat? I feel great that the Government cares about me! I can get drafted to go fight in some war that I do not give a rat's ass about, but cannot bet $50 bucks on my favorite team!

Speaking of war, shouldn't these zealous, do good retards worry about getting our troops home rather than somebody playing poker from his own home! Seriously, ask around, ask people you know how they feel about it. Ask people who don't gamble! I have asked everyone who doesn't gamble who I know. They all believe there are many greater problems in the world!

As far as poker, I guess there will just be more games in the back rooms of bars! So if you play in big games I suggest you get your license to carry and conceal so this way when you pick up to leave you don't get robbed! But this may not be the end! I am sure if the Government finds a way to make money through online gambling they will be more than happy to allow it to start back up!

Sorry for the long tirade! It just really pisses me off that so few a**holes can just do this to our community!
