[ QUOTE ]
This was a disaster day. I lost 6 buyins at $50NL and it already wasnt a very good month.

I will not post bad beats but I lost at least 4 without tilting. The only hands I really didnt play good where the ones I posted today (3hands) so just bad luck often.

Shortly described:

1. KK vs AA (start of the day)
2. AA vs AT (runner runner flush, at flop A 4 2)
3. set over set (waited a long time for a set, than this happens)
4. AA vs 6J (WTF , runner runner 6J. He pushed flop K23 lol)
5. QQ vs KK (posted this one, I could have folded possibly but when you had beats queens start to look very good
6. TILT

... all in 1.2k hands lol

I am still confident I can beat 50NL but I dont want to play my usual game for now. What do you do in this situation?

A)1 table at 1000NL (thinking about it )

Apollo, I'd take a break; at least an hour. Maybe try another site.

As a side note, I've understood BTW that for NL50 I'm not moving away from Party. These games for some strange reason seem softer and more full of aggrodonks (you know, 70/25/8 types) in the evenings than NL25 here. I cannot explain that.

haha, lol @ Etric
I had luck once when I sat down on $100NL on tilt. Better not do that again
I'm just playing rebuys tonight, read some 2+2 and start tomorrow again at 25NL and just play a number of hands without looking at results (its softer where I play, they dont fold so easily in comparison to $50NL.)

Just gotta share. Please don't tell me to take it to BBV because those [censored] don't care.

So I started playing uNL 2 months ago and my bankroll was up 4x its size since I started, and I had my sights set on bigger games.

Yeah.

Then I ran into an 18 buyin downswing at the highest level I've ever played. It was almost 2 weeks without a winning session.

I've dropped back to 25NL and started winning again. Good thing I won 20 BIs at 50NL _before_ the crash or I might be done right now. I think it was a combination of bad play, tilt, and bad luck. I went through my last 5k hands -

* AA<KK, QQ, JJ allin pre, AA not best hand in BB/100
* 3k hands without a single set
* only 3 sets in the next 2khands, and none of those saw my stack get in the pot
* 33%W$SD after running ~52% for previous 25k hands at this level

Sorry if it seems like I'm complaining. I'm not, really. I'm just saying that variance can be a [censored] sometimes.

Thanks for listening.

18 buys ins hmmmm, not all of it, but some of it is your fault. retool your game a bit. think really really hard about the hands you lost, over and over again. it will make you better wether you conclude that you played them right, or that maybe you could have done somthing different.

I guess daladiesman is right about it, in my case I lost 4 Buyins bc of pure getting unlucky, one partly because of not folding queens when I would have if I ran good. and one bc of tilting.

Its probably like the queens in my hand that cost you a couple of buyins, normally you lay it down but now queens start to look very good if you are down a couple of buyins.

Altough I can perfectly imagine that most were just bad luck.

I started playing one $25NL table while playing my rebuy to get used to the way they play and it feels really good to notice they pay of TPNK all of the sudden. Hope you can recover soon bc it sucks to be in a downswing

Brag: I received my two Dell Ultrasharp 2007fp's today

Time to hit the tables, please don't let me down like yesterday (see prior post).

Regarding the 18 BI downswing, sure it can be started by unluckiness, but at NL50 it's bad play or tilt at some point. I hope you can learn from your mistakes, you're not the first one. Reviewing / moving down are good ideas to get your game back on track. Good luck to you.
