ASU - wtf? Why was Chris Henry selected? Is this a 14-team league or something?

[/ QUOTE ]

Haha cause my $$ league is full of noooobs. I'm the commish this year and I always do a little post-draft write-up. I've narrowed it down to these 3 teams, but damn they all suck so hard I can't figure it out! 12 team BTW. Team 1 had pick 2, team had pick 12 and team 3 had pick 3.

I need to find some $$$ leagues like that Does anyone know of sites you can just join and play? CBS/ESPN/Yahoo's pay sites are so frikin retarded. They take out either 100% or 90% of the entry fees.

I have a live draft next week with my dad's buddies. It's TDs frikin' ONLY. They've been playing for over 20 years so they've never had yardage. No one wanted to sit down with the newspaper for hours calculating everything. I usually play in their playoff pool and win, but this will be my first time playing for the season. I'm trying to get them to add yardage. They always select kickers in the 5th or 6th round because they have a scoring scheme that makes 'em look attractive. Yet, they don't realize that the difference between kickers is so small.

Projected value of #2 QB - #15 QB = 50pts. Projected value of #2 RB - #15 RB = 110 pts.

[/ QUOTE ]

I understand that, but he isnt going to get the #2 RB, or evern probly the #6 or 7 RB. The gap between the 8-15 RB is going to be a lot smaller, and he would also have the #1 QB.

What does your post-draft write-up usually consist of? I'm considering doing one for my league but I can't figure out what to put it in.

I don't mind taking Manning, as I said earlier. I'm explaining why you can wait on QBs and can't on RBs. Also, you are forgetting one important thing.... RBs are taken faster than QBs. You can get the #15 QB in the 7th or 8th round. You can't get the #15 RB in the 7th or 8th round.

They are pretty brief. About 3-4 sentences for each team. I will typically rank them 1-12 and give their strengths, weaknesses and season outlook. That usually consists of my prediction based on their division and keys to victory. Stuff like that. I sorta feel bad this year, becuase one of the potential bottom teams is one I listed above. I have ranked him dead last the past 2 years. This could be the third. I think he's under the impression I have it out for him.

bluef0x,

In Draft dominator using 2 QB's Manning is number 3, Palmer is number 7, Brady is number 14.

So, Tyler, I would really consider Palmer and Brady as your first two picks if both are available.

No one gets pissed off?

Also, writing a keys to victory = against common sense, unless you are planting seeds to screw up their team and get good deals going.

you picked L. Coles over R. Brown and S. Moss?? ouch.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd take Coles over Brown. McNabb spreads the ball around a ton; he won't get thrown to enough. Coles was thrown the ball 151 times last year, while Brown only got 91 passes. That's a 66% difference. In a PPR league this is a no brainer.

[/ QUOTE ]

Games with McNabb and no Stallworth:

5 for 106
4 for 79, 1 TD
6 for 121, 1 TD
4 for 77, 1 TD

You would be a fool to pass on Brown for Coles. Brown was upgraded from number 2 WR to number 1 WR in a pass first offense. Stallworth had great numbers as the #1. If you combine their numbers for the year you get a legit top 12 WR. Hate the pick.

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed that Brown has a higher ceiling. But with this scoring system (1ppr, 1pt/10yds, 6/td), and the fact that we had zero WRs at that point, Coles was the lower variance choice, which is what we needed at the time. It's pretty unlikely that it's a choice which will make or break us.

Was it just you and a friend Clarkmeister or did you have a team of 3+ splitting the fee?
