I think I'm going to actually move down to 25NL for a little while. Yes, very sad after playing 20k hands at 50Nl with a win rate of 1.5PTBB/100.

so let me guess, he put me on AK as well and thought we were splitting the pot? his reraise called out his hand, at least the range. since none of those cards fell, A or K, the only thing i was really scared of at that point was the flush, hence the check on the river. i stand by my thought that the hand was played well post flop, preflop was marginal, but your hand is made up of 5 cards, not two.

[/ QUOTE ]
Preflop is not marginal. IT IS A HUGE [censored] MISTAKE. ANY TWO CARDS CAN WIN, ZOMGROFLCOPTER. If you put his range on TT+/AQ+ (a wide reraising range for 5NL, IMO), you're a 73/27 dog.

On the flop, if he bets, most 5NL players are not folding f they hit *any* piece of the flop. Were you folding if he bets? Probably not. So betting AK would just turn this into a "worse hands fold, better hands call" situation. Trying to show down AK is fine.

On the turn, he should probably just fold. But like I said, I could see most 5NL players any two cards, so a call is fine, especially against that weak bet.

On the river, your check is terrible as well. There's *no* indication he has a better hand than you. You're missing tons of value by checking. You have top two, ffs.

I'm down there as well after running -6.32/100 over 7k hands this month. I'm still quite confident in my play, though, and will be back shortly after grinding out a couple hundred bucks at NL25.

Hey Jigsaws, I thought you were playing 100nl .

On a side note, I finally had a winning day again (not huge, but still made like $70 or so). And I turned a $100 loss at 100nl in to a win, so I'm proud of myself :P.

Same here. I feel really good about most of my play. Most hands I can't even post as a strategy thread because I feel like I played it as it was supposed to be played. Maybe I played hands bad but I'm smart enough to know bad played hands from good played hands.
