2+2 forums are independent of what happens on poker sites or in the outside world... That's common sense.

It's "common sense" that when we post here we enter some existential vacuum and forget everything we know about the outside world?

When the issue is mods banning or maliciously changing titles, yes. Duh. Remember the SpicyF banning thread? The reason that was so ridiculous is because it had do with something completely independent of the 2+2 forums. Everyone seemed in agreement on the issue then.

the drama people like you dole out is what is disgusting. party is doing a good job making examples out of these cheatin' jack asses. hopefully the other sites will fall in line.

however, thayer is exactly correct. jj and z are getting their due punishment and it is hardly noble or obligatory for them to "out" the other perps. ethically speaking, if a multiaccounter somehow sees the "light" about the error of their ways, they are obligated to break ties with the other cheats they know (which would be a natural occurrence anyways if they truly wanted to come clean). but to say that it is their responsibility to police internet poker is a joke no matter how you or i think about them.

I guess i make a distinction between an irc squabble and extending social acceptance to people who have been stealing money from me.

mikechops,

I think it is very surprising that you and many others realize that ZJ is willing to bend the rules to maximize his EV in a given situation, yet believe that when his actions lead to situations that let him really capitalize on this cheating, he doesn't take advantage of it at all. ZJ's "I open up more SNGs when I find myself at the same table and then I can't even remember what cards my multiple horses have!!!!" is more pathetic than JJ's Grandma story.

[/ QUOTE ]

Despite the low likelyhood of this, I do believe his story.

El D,

I'd say J.J.'s Grandma story is slightly more pathetic.

But not by much.

You are free to post whatever horrible alienating slander you can think up, just don't abuse your mod privileges in the matter. It's pretty simple.

why would someone who is willfully and knowingly doing something unethical do anything to "negate his unethical advantage"? isn't that the advantage that he was looking for in the first place?

Let's try and put an end to the "Mod changing the title issue". There is a thread about that in Forum Suggestions. I really want to keep this thread focused on the primary issue.

There was nothing malicious about that title change. I started a thread in the forum suggestions forum about why it should be left there and why JJProd and any other 2+2'ers found in the future to be cheats should also be given that title on their accounts.

The reason is that any new or otherwise current posters who don't realize that they are cheats, might give their strategy advice more credence than is warranted since a very possible reason for such advice working is that they were cheating. If you have two accounts on a tourney table and try to steal the blinds with 82o knowing that either 1 account behind you will never call, or that it always will to snap off with a crap hand itself as a chip dump, then such moves can't really be as good as advocated. Same for their cash game strategy posts.
