Making unnesessary fyp's on a poker forum supporting gobbo including the amount of $$ he won in this tournament is hardly classes as an interview done online where you verbally look down upon someone.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, you make some good points, but the above quote is where I disagree--it's all basically part of the same game.

Anyway, since the tournament is over and just about everything has been said, I don't suppose I need to be checking this thread too much, anynmore.

Congrats, Gobbo, well done. I'm jealous.

[/ QUOTE ]

Okay, truce, etc.

OK, so HV is the Don Rickels of poker. You youngsters who've never heard of him, try Google or Wikipedia.

aejones is the wet blanket of poker.

LFTV had the MVP post in this thread, as usual.

Shane keeps us on an even keel. Good job, but this is a party thread and we don't need the cops busting in.

Here's to Gobboboy, well done, my man!

Shane-

Did someone steal your He-man figures when you were a kid? I don't get why you're so damn cynical. I respect you for speaking your mind and sticking with your guns, but I still don't understand where you're coming from.

Anyway, to each his own.

edit: we're all starting to sound like a bunch of catty girls, btw. First round on me in Vegas this summer. That should do it.

brutally honest for many people to get anything out of any of my posts; but it seriously is just my style. I'm a brutally honest person and I hate people that need things to be candy coated, because I feel like there is too much of that going on in society to begin with.

FWIW, it's not your "honesty" that bothers me nearly as much as the arrogance and presumptiveness that accompanies it, especially as it extends to subjects you know little to nothing about.

I find your posts about poker good.

I also think there has been some overreacting by you, and by Shane, regarding what's essentially a bunch of kids stepping up to celebrate and defend their friend during one of the most exciting moments of his (and to an extension their) lives to date. Remember, many of these posters aren't seasoned professionals who have seen it all before; they're young and they can be passionate even when cooler heads would serve better.

Some of you guys need to relax a bit, it was a joke I also went on to say that the kid was fearless and that he had the world by the balls. I sat beside Jimmy for quite some time on day 3 and was impressed by his fearlessness and willingness to get it in. It wasn't sour grapes in the least , Jimmy didn't knock me out and I had no problem with him yelling ship it after winning a big all in against me where we were roughly 50-50.

I was merely trying to interject a little brevity into a the interview for entertainment sake.

Its great that some of you guys are happy for Jimmy and are looking to stick up for him, everyone should have friends like that.

Congrats to Jimmy for his 2nd place finish, he has a great future ahead of him.

I think we get it was a joke, you sure enjoyed it in the interview. Some of us just don't like when somebody makes an unnecessary personal attack to a friend.
