rivera had to come in a high leverage situation in the 8th. he got out of pretty easily. that means he SHOULD start the 9th. who the hell do you put in there? vizcaino for mop-up? he wasn't even warming up. it was still a 1-run game.

no, i didn't mean that rivera would be available tomorrow. i meant it's probably better to have 3 fresh bullpen options tomorrow, rather than only 1 or 2 plus rivera who had pitched the day before.

Let's see... flipping 50/50 coins and getting 5 in a row is 1/32. Getting an exact sequence of 10 is 1/1024, but there are 10*9 combinations where you get 8 out of 10 wins, not to mention another 11 where you win 9 or 10, so it's about 1/10 to win 8 out of 10...
