So I have to go back through and read the thread though based on a few of these last responses it may not be worth it. Here are a few random thoughts:

Colts were very rusty. Before the game both on tv and online experts were saying they wouldn't be rusty at all. I didn't understand this at all because they didn't have much reason to have this opinion. I was hoping that they would be a little off for a drive or two but they were off for the first quarter and a half and also came out very flat at the start of the second half.

Ref decisions were, um, interesting. Troy's interception seemed clearly that. Is there something like the tuck rule going on here where it was incomplete for some obscure rule and thus correct? Otherwise I don't see how this wasn't a pick. I'm assuming the PI non-call has been discussed but going up at least 17-0 there would have been huge, instead Indy got a nice drive and their confidence back and only were down by 11 at the half. And what was with the non penalty for false start or encroachment? OK, in the replay the guard flinched but if the refs didn't call that and didn't call the Colts for encroachment why did they stop the action?

Cowher had his best game since I've been in Pittsburgh. For starters, he was much less conservative. I think going for it on fourth down twice was a good call on both occasions. I also think giving it to Bettis at the end was a good decision. Both of these would be standard but Cowher tends to be conservative. I was also happy that we came out throwing at the beginning. I wouldn't have minded a couple passes at the end but Big Ben may have been hurt (probably was based on postgame discussion where he completely evaded the question).

The pass rush was huge for Pittsburgh from start to finish with the exception of the 96 or whatever yard drive. I also think the O-line did well. Ben had a lot of pressure on him but they held them off just long enough for the most part. In the last game Indy dominated the line on both sides of the ball.

Watching Indy turn it on at the end was impressive. You've got a damn good team going there. In interviews Roethlisberger said that we would need our A+ game to beat the Colts B- game. While that's an exaggeration it was pretty clear when Indy turned it on late that they are very good.

Next week should be a good matchup.
