Vanessa has a lot going for her - she's 23 and has done well for herself. She also did EXTREMELY well at the Bellagio this week. She is definitely cocky and arrogant but thats her deal, it obviously works for her because she is definitely getting attention.

vanessa is this you? or vanessa's bf? yeah it's great for the game to encourage future players to resort to low grade antics in order to draw attention to yourself. how 'bout PLAYING GOOD POKER instead of trying to be the next diva on the circuit. yes she did play good poker but how 'bout some class? I think she could draw just as many fans with some humility and being sweet. Whatever...who am I to say I never got middle school vice president.

I think it's pretty cool that MsGluck decides to concentrate on poker instead of taking pictures all made up on a couch, or having to spend the day shopping while being filmed for some poker brawds documentary so that you have something new to wear in front of the camera. Not ass kissing, but if more of the females did that maybe we wouldnt have so many "are they hot" threads.

Okay, I don't want this degrade into a crazy/childish act, but aren't you the one who is copy-pasting stuff directly from Rousso's website?

I didn't know that it was confirmed that she didn't do it. I'm curious about the women players just as much as you are, there's just no need to react the way you did to my post.

Her attitude might just be a part of her game plan. She tries putting people on tilt.

this should not be an excuse. if you need to resort to other tactics to gain an edge then that's just cheap. doyle, chip, phil ivey don't needle others in order to win. they win cuz' they're GOOD.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's all well and good but people have a right to play their game. Look at Matusow, Hellmuth, Humberto Brenes, and Negreanu. Each one of them extracts information at the table using other tactics.

i didn't copy and paste from some rumor mill like NWP or some hogwash site. I just copied and pasted from Vanessa's site..her own site.

Plus to ask about some rumor, which is probably not true is character assasination toward jennicide. Not that I know jennicide she may actually be a good person and bringing up some rumor to ask jean about it is a waste of her time.

We're lucky to have a pro field questions on these boards. We don't need to barrage her with questions that are as quality as the questions from railtards on Full Tilt. I hope you understand what I'm saying.

those guys don't slowroll do they? she sounds like she PURPOSELY shows no class whatsoever. It's like she goes out of her way to be a bitch. her behavior sounds like it's on par to what Tony G does, and a lot of pros have an issue with his antics.

OMFG this is nuts, I cant believe this is the same chick from my freshman econ class at Duke. My friend Matt claimed each of her boobs was bigger than his head, but that was never proven. The name sounded familiar the pics make it unmistakeable. I had no idea she played poker. Very smart, really nice girl, quite large breasts.

so not true.

now, Im a girl- and we are 10x more judgemental about a girl's face.

Vanessa Rousso has a beautiful face and did remarkably well at a very tough event. Stop hatin, already. She's got skills and is another one of the precursor's to the young, feared, attractive females that are about to take the poker world by storm.

Just like young, talented internet players surprised the world a couple of years ago by bringing big game, players like Liz Lieu, Jennicide and Vanessa Rousso are ushering in another breed of big player.

And while your spouting out the same old, tired masogynistic comments, they'll be stacking your chips boyyyyyyyys.

Not Vanessa - sorry... Some people are obviously threatened by cocky, arrogant people though - My life rule in the matter is - 'If you gotta talk about it, you ain't got it'. She definitely likes to talk about it. She's the maker of her on destiny and people will either like or dislike her. I dislike it when people pass judgement on others, that's all. I'm sure most people on here have went through the 'cocky/arrogant' phase at some point in their life. A *LOT* of people on here live in glass houses :>
