Posting emails just gives us more info to judge the validity of a claim, not substantiate it's merit. Most people are bad at writing anyways. Even prop emails would be difficult for people to make believable. I don't know what to think of the topic. I would like to see emails though to help get a better picture.

Hey, I was only refuting this:

As if "posted emails" are the final say.

Maybe I'm too skeptical, but I believe almost nothing of what I read in the zoo. You never know what someone's hidden agenda really is....at least rational posters. Some other posters (especially newbies) are just flat out retarded.

I use this forum strictly for my entertainment and to kill time.

(although having my credibility called into question is making me wish I had not posted about this...sigh)

Which is why I am suspecting your claim is real. You have goodwill capital on this board, and a thread like this, if not true, would be about the stupidest way I could think of to burn it up. I mean what does Teddy have to gain here? Nothing!

Frankly, this post is, IMO, so outrageous that it is likely to be true. It's too out of left field to be a hoax.

I have posted everything I currently know about things. Granted this situation is < 24 hrs old. I will post details as I learn them. Step 1: mom is doing a full virus scan tonight (and to my horror tells me that she is very lax with computer security...she "thinks" she has MacAfee installed, and will run a full scan tonight).
If Lee or Jeff read this thread and feel like contributing, they will confirm all facts (if they want).

Either he isn't telling the whole truth that he knows of, or his mom isn't telling HIM the whole truth.

Do you really think PokerStars would throw someone off the site for being a bot just by playing "by-the-book" poker?

[/ QUOTE ]

I completely agree with you, this story stinks

i think its pretty obvious that his mom visited some cheating site like winholdem or something and either downloaded or picked up some cookie that stars had flagged.

besides, stars wont even seize all the funds of people who are 100% proven cheaters, how is this an issue? there is nothing to worry about.

If the OP was really cheating, why on earth would he post this story?

Unless TeddyFBI is into creative writing, this story is too nuts to be made up. He has no motivation for making this up. Most of you guys are just conspiracy theorists.

You need to post the email exchange. In any other thread of this type, we always reserve judgment until we see the emails, you should be no exception.

[/ QUOTE ]
C'mon jman, that's so obviously inconsistent.

If you want to question this guy's character, why honor the supposed emails? After all, they're just plain text that can be doctored as much as his OP could have been. Same goes for any other thread in which the original poster submits emails as "proof".

How can anyone not believe a poster, but believe his plain text, email-looking things???

[/ QUOTE ]

You misunderstood my point. The emails are important for a number of reasons, he may not even be intentionally witholding information from us, how many times have we heard a story liek this, then the emails get posted, and we see that its quite a bit different than was originally presented///how we all interpreted it? Plus, I feel quite confident that if false emails were posted, Stars would rectify that (there was a thread not to long ago where someone posted doctored stars emails and a stars rep came and posted the full text of them).

I think it's pretty absurd some of you are already accusing one of the best limit players online that he is missinterpreting the situation or holding information from you.

And to suggest that he would bot out a nano-limit on his mom's computer??

Half the time a virus scan will show nothing! Google
for a program called "Hijack This" make sure you have
the latest version. It will show everything on you
computer!

Either his story is not complete/is misunderstood/there is some malfeasance... OR

The most reliable poker site on the internet/the most reliable online poker room manager on the internet have taken a completely irrational path.

Neither one makes much sense.

All I'm saying is just because he is one of the "greatest online limit players" does not mean that you should unquestionably accept this story in total. (See ZeeJustin). I'm not accusing him of lying, but nobody's perfect, and this whole story does not add up. I will reserve further judgment until we see the email exchange, you should all do the same. It would also be nice if we could get a comment in this thread from Stars Support/and/or Lee Jones.
