Oh, and since rent/truck leases are included, that lowers my break-even estimate for franchise stores to $40k per week.

Do we have any information on how much an average sale is, in a KKD store?

...or put another way, how many customers/month does each store need to be profitable?

Last quarter was somewhere in the mid-$40k per week range. Supposedly their largest franchisee is at $43k per week.

Tomorrow they will release their 2004 financials (FY 2005), probably after market close. This will likely tell the tale for my may options.

Dont know they have to file taxes ever year? Cant you get ahold of their tax return somehow?

I don't think so, I believe the IRS isn't allowed to disclose returns, either personal or company. And I'm assuming the same is true of state authorities.

I love how laws have helped to make accounting more transparent. May 2006 we find out how their January 2005 went?

Correct. They released calendar year 04 after close today, I'm digging through it now (303 pages!). One interesting side-note is that the NYSE announced before close that it was "unlikley" they would be giving any more extensions to KKD. I'm assuming this means the delisting process has started.
