Yes, Marc Wallice had AIDS and spread it to another adult film performer. The reason was he faild to report the positive test result and faked a clean bill of health.

Every performer MUST have a clean bill of health when they show up on set or they are asked to leave. Look at the stats over the last two decades - you have more of a chance of catching a cummunicable disease from the general public than from a porn star. It is that safe and that fanatical.

However, I'm talking more about the adult film industry...obviously, with the influx of internet porn sites, they are impossible to regulate.

it's just like life...some chicks are cool and smart and some aren't. Really, there were two kinds of girls I'd run across:

Sounds like a bunch of people convincing themselves they are as careful as possible while looking the other way. Don't get me wrong, I'm not pissing on the industry, but I don't think those on top care about the performers at all... sounds like a lot of misinformation to me. I know condoms don't sell well, but it seems that is the only way to go for the industry to continue to survive. Eventually there will be a massive outbreak of something (hepatitis, AIDS, etc) and the government will try to step in to regulate it. Then everyone will be sorry they didn't regulate themselves earlier.. the policy should be no love without the glove - no exceptions.

i'm sorry, but you really don't know what you're talking about here. The industry is absolutely on top of things. A huge majority of the companies (Vivid, Wicked, etc.) have a condom only rule, and the testing works. Look at their track record! Also, they have advocates who educate any new performer who comes into the biz.

Do you really think the owners of this billion-dollar a year industry don't want to protect what they've got? They know what the government would likely do - so they police themselves.

Now, I am not talking about the internet porn business. Those people have no regulations as they are not a part of the adult film business community. So that is where the danger would come from, if at all.

i agree with dom, with the amount of sex going on if the testing system was flawed there would be an exponentially higher number of cases, not just 2-3.
