100% in keeping with OP's examples. He's no more famous than Lane Stanley or River Phoenix.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree. Which is why this thread is a travashamockery.

Whatever, guys, I got it perfectly with the first response. JT Walsh isn't too famous, and just try to watch Pleasantville or A Few Good Men or something without wishing that guy was still around.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who has actually nailed "kinda famous" in this thread.

[/ QUOTE ]

I disagree.

[/ QUOTE ]
Okay, credit where credit's due, I read your post and I don't even know who that guy is. So I guess you did right.

[ QUOTE ]
I stand by my list of 3.

[/ QUOTE ]
I DO know who all three are, and that actually is a pretty good list. Okay, so, like, three out of sixty posts or whatever it's at now.

[ QUOTE ]
I posted in OOT the day he went to the big whammy in the sky.

[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, that doesn't surprise me at all. I must have missed that or forgotten it in the last year.

Was Cobain famous before he died?

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you serious? Are you not from America?

[/ QUOTE ]

The day he died I would estimate that 1 in 4 people on my college campus knew who he was without adding in "the guy from Nirvana." My perception at the time that dieing was his best career move (as far as becoming famous).

[/ QUOTE ]

There were girls in my hs crying and saying he wasn't really dead.

The problem with this is that I think in the OOT demo, a ton of people will know of him, even if they don't know his music. But for the overall population, he's a pretty solid example. (I don't think this same test applies to the guy from sublime).
