[ QUOTE ]
It's pretty easy to evade the police. If there's 2 or more cop cars after me, I simply pull into an auto body shop and get my car painted a different color. This always fools them. [/ QUOTE ] i lol'ed. Good thread, I wouldn't try this in almost any circumstances in a car but on a bike I suspect it could be very easy to get away in urban areas with train tracks, pedestrian walkways etc. check out this advanced planning http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1208791 that cut is through a schoolground not accessible to cars, the fastest way for the cop to catch up would be to go south, west and then up that street again, by then on a bike you could be long gone as that stretch only has 1 stop sign with little traffic. the next closest fastest route for the cops would bring them all the way around the train tracks south, east and then north. |

I did it once on I90 in MN when I was 17, I was doing around 100 or 105 and passed a state trooper going the opposite way who immediately hit his brakes and lights. I stepped on the gas and flew to the next exit doing 125-130 then pulled out a map and took back roads home.
I tried another time in the city after passing a cop doing about 55 in a 30 late at night right on the hump of a hill and I quickly turned off into a neighborhood right away. Decided he wouldn't find me so I stopped and pulled over and turned the car off. Pretty sure if I kept going he would have never found me. Anyway a few minutes he pulled up behind me gave me a warning for speeding and some [censored] about trying to lose him. I just told him I was heading to a friends and he wasnt buying it. |

Anyone reading this thread should watch the Getaway in Stockholm video. There are many copies but this is the original video. The car they are using I believe is a Porsche 911 turbo.
