played limit for about a year with marginal profits playing up to 5/10 sh
switched to nl and stayed at 1/2 for about 8 months making a steady profit.
lowered tables down to 4-5 and have really focused on improving my game this summer. it's going well, i've finally moved up to 2/4 permanently now taking shots at 3/6 and 5/10.

I'm gonna sound like a bore now, but I can only give the password out when you post in the thread that you are about to play :

Stars don't want the tables being abused and I'm trying not to be a nit...but if i give them out people are going to practice before the first round starts...and Stars don't want it broadcast to the general public...Create a new thread to say that your HU match is imminent and I'll PM you and your opponent the p/word...

Please don't pester people into trying to get the p/word as you will only spoil it for the majority !

the ppl who love to talk [censored] (like you) have played exactly how many hands with me?

stop embarassing yourself.

[/ QUOTE ]

rofl, yeah I really should stop embarassing myself, its not like anyone agrees with me whatsoever....

My very first coaching session was done with a frequent SSNL poster - he is certainly welcome to chime in if he sees this.

During the middle of the session, he stopped me to tell me how I blew away all the other coaches he'd had.

Again, this was my very first experience ever coaching.

Skeptical of the ability of his other coaches if I (playing 100NL at the time) was already better able to teach him how to beat SSNL, I asked who had coached him.

He named two names I did not recognize, and then said he had recently paid for a session from you. So disappointed in your session was he that he put off finding a coach that could teach him how to beat 50NL for weeks (months?) until he contacted me.

Needless to say, he never went back to you, he came back to me for 5-6 sessions, and went from a losing 50NL player to a winning 200NL player.

My goal isn't to embarrass you, but when you seek me out from your high atop your throne of marginally beating Party 200NL adopting the most holier-than-thou attitude imaginable, well... I guess I just can't help it.

lol

1) I never claimed to be a good coach, I don't feel I can express my thoughts very well to other people.

2) If it is the poster I'm thinking of then he is a huge douche. He asked for other lessons after the first (never got round to it because I was busy moving in with True at the time) and said he benefitted from our sessions. I wouldn't give a [censored] if he said he didn't want any more coaching from me, but for him to say he enjoyed my coaching, wanted more and then to go and slag me off behind my back is pretty underhanded and confusing to me.

3) I don't marginally beat 200NL - I've won at 4.3ptbb/100 over a big sample 8 tabling and won at 7.5 over a big sample at 100NL before that. But most people don't know that because I don't go round telling them I'm the greatest the whole time.

4) None of this has any relevance to the point I was making anyway. I never said anything about your playing skills or your coaching skills (I'm sure your a good player by talking to a few people). I was commenting on the ego and hostility you have brought with you into SSNL. This is agreed upon by most of this forum (including the mods) and trying to twist things to make me seem like the egotistical prick attacking poor little you is pretty sad (and easy to see through for anyone with half a brain).

5) You're gay

been playing 1/2 forever, brief spasmodic shots at 2/4 sometimes. had a slew of great months from like november to april when i won decent $ but the last two months have sucked nuts.

i play like 10-20k hands a month (sometimes more) so its all the short run stuff i suppose when my last two months havent been so nice.

i enjoy the 1/2 FTP hu games on FTP and play those the most when playing at FTP.

I've played everything from 25NL to 25/50, and not necessarily in that order. Right now I'm playing mainly 5/10 and 10/20.
