I thought Yao was going to be bad
I thought Chris Taft would be good I thought Dajuan Wagner would be great I thought Darius Miles would be great I thought Juan Dixon would be terrible and out of the league by now. Obviously he's not great but hes servicable. I though Hinrich was going to suck I thought Rickey Paulding would make it to the NBA and be solid. I thought Julius Hodge and Wayne Simien would both be solid contributors. I thought Martell Webster and Gerald Green would both be very good but its too early to tell. I thought TJ Duckett would be a good starter I thought Jimmy Kennedy would be good I was pretty high on Aaron Rodgers but in his defense he hasn't played yet so he might pan out. |

. I couldn't [censored] believe Mark Price turned out to be an all-star NBA point guard. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I was gonna post that after watching Johnny Dawkins and Price in the ACC I couldn't believe that Price was the way better pro. |

[ QUOTE ] Langdon was not even close to the kind of shooter that Redick is, [/ QUOTE ] Player A's career NCAA 3pt FG% 40.6% Player B's career NCAA 3pt FG% 42.6% You know which is which, right? Given that one isn't even close to the kind of shooter the other is this should be easy. Here, I'll give you another hint. Here are some statlines for each player's first full year in the NBA: Player A: 14.8 MPG 6.0/1.2/0.9 P/R/Apg .410/.388 FG/3FG% Player B: 17.2 MPG 6.0/1.4/1.2 P/R/Apg .431/.411 FG/3FG% Why, they couldn't be more different! [/ QUOTE ] Langdon played on the same team with Elton Brand, Shane Battier, Corey Maggette, Will Avery, etc., etc. He was always open. Redick was always the focus of opponents' defenses. Exhibit #12234623 as to how stats don't really tell the story. Also, Redick was hurt for a large part of his rookie year, so I think it's a little early to conclude that his numbers will never be any better and that ergo Langdon = Redick. |

Dajuan Wagner was the nuts. [/ QUOTE ] Me too. I was absolutely convinced that Wagner would be an All-Star. I was telling anyone who would listen that he'd be a better pro than Jay Williams, drafted four slots ahead of Wagner in 2002. I guess injuries technically bailed me out on that one, but it's pretty clear I was wrong. I've got my friends trying to think of other times I've been wrong, so I'll post any that come to me. I seem to remember the players I'm right about (Gomes and Millsap, recently) a lot better than the ones I'm wrong about. -McGee |

I thought Mike Sweetney would be a beast.
Also, was ready to anoint that UMaryland MLB (EJ Henderson?) as the next Ray Lewis. Dajuan Wagner (I'm from jersey, kid was insane in HS) Lenny Cooke - see above Felipe Lopez (NY hype machine) |

[/ QUOTE ] Johnny D shredded his knee or else he would have been an all-star many times over, I believe. |
