well I wasnt necessarily talking about this hand just in general... at NL200 8bb raise is a bit odd with not so many limpers.

Understood, but this situation was a special one obviously..he ended up getting to 700 or so but dropped it all within 20 hands and was gone..

P.S. I think Sklansky as well as others have said to vary your bet sizing, and when doing this with AA as well as 33, it is quite effective at 100nl atleast..
