<--emailed congressman and both senators.
Dear XXXX, I am writing to voice my opposition to the current legislation seeking to ban internet gambling. As Americans we have the right to spend our money on gambling if we wish, and I will be disappointed if you vote to curtail yet more of our freedoms. However I strongly support laws that would more efficiently regulate it as a legitimate industry and I hope you do too. Thank you for your time, XXXX |

You guys need to relax a little. Nothing bad is going to happen. Do you also go on tilt when a better player sits at your table (oh my god, I am going to lose all my money)? Bang a chick or something. It helps... [/ QUOTE ] yeah i should relax and not pay attention to the fact that some morons in Virginia are trying to take away my livelihood. |

Here's the response I got back from my Rep.
[ QUOTE ] February 21, 2006 [My address] Dear Mr. Z: Thank you for getting in touch with me to express your views regarding HR 4777, to expand and modernize the prohibition against interstate gambling, and for other purposes. I am currently not a cosponsor of this legislation. As a member of Congress, knowing your thoughts helps me to better represent all my fellow Tennesseans here in Washington. As the House of Representatives addresses a wide range of issues in the 109th Congress, I want to convey to you how much I appreciate your involvement and participation and I will certainly keep your sentiments in mind. In Congress, I work very hard to promote legislation and policies that will improve the quality of life for all Tennesseans as I support initiatives to help create jobs, improve educational opportunities for our children, and preserve the national security, health and well-being of all American citizens. I hope you will continue to contact me to express your views on the many issues facing our nation and the U.S. Congress. If you need additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me or my office. I look forward to hearing from you again in the future. Sincerely, Jim Cooper Member of Congress [/ QUOTE ] |

1. Renounce US citizenship
2. Go and live in a democracy This would also solve your tax issues. |
