great trip report Clark, I really enjoyed reading it. Very surprised they let you take a picture of the cockpit.

Apparently the core plane mechanics are like 50 year old technology. Nothing really secret I don't think. There were areas where we were told no photos, etc.

Wow.

The wine fridge shot is one hell of a brag post. And I was proud of our 18 or so bottles from our last trip.

Excellent posts and reviews. I appreciate the effort you put into the posts. Certainly sets the bar high for the El D Forum.

The best part is, even though my wife and I have been to Willamette three times, you visited a bunch of places we haven't been to, so we'll certainly refer back to this for our next trip...

Oh, and it was about time for the return of the avatar, haha.

Amazing. Thanks for the great read. God, do I wish I could afford to travel. I'd love to do stuff like this.

Def hit Serene and Sineann. I've heard nothing but good things about Owen Roe too. I'm sorry I missed them.

I hear Memorial Day is a huge weekend out there. Lots of new releases and specials.

Great report(s) Clark. Solidifies that, for me, there is no better place in the US to live than the Pacific NW. That is saying a ton when your trip involved very little wilderness parts. The National Parks and other public wildnerness recreation areas around here are absolutely astounding.

Yeah, the NW was pretty great and we missed so many things we wanted to see. Still, we did a pretty good job with the time we had. Definitely will make it back at some point. I personally want to see Crater Lake and I'm really bummed I missed the Humboldt Redwood forest.

Clark,

Awesome report. I had that very wine flight at the wine bar when I was flying back from Seattle recently. Pretty cool wine bar for an airport.

"Not wanting to pay like $5 a gallon to refill it"

I think that's what my local Shell charges now.

[/ QUOTE ]Clark, do the PDX to Bay trip, you can stop at both places you missed and you can see some new/favorite wineries. Crater Lake likely wouldn't have been open at this time of the year anyways.
