Elephant vs. Grizzly: This seems pretty clear for the grizzly. We aren't talking about Smokey here. I think a full grown grizzly has the speed, agility and claws/teeth to inflict some serious damage on an elephant.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree wholeheartedly with everything except this. full grown bull elephants routinely kill lions. stomp, stomp see ya. in a to-the-death format, the elephant has to be the far and away favorite. I think north america gets shut out in this tourney.

Seriosuly dude. Maybe people aren't thinking clearly, I don't know. People just don't go around killing crocadiles, that's why we invented guns.

[/ QUOTE ]
Have you ever seen crocidile hunter. UFC man has to be a hell of a lot better at wrestling croc than even him. It is simply a matter of devising a way to kill it after getting his jaw trapped shut.

[/ QUOTE ]

I have seen crocodile hunter and he has never taken down a 20 footer and he always uses a net or rope to subdue the croc. Without using any foreign objects, the UFC fighter would be helpless.

This could end up being the best thread ever.

Great post. That's why Elephant was the #2 seed. Lions kill them too, it goes both ways. But as the King of the Jungle, the Lion benefitted from media hype to get the #1 seed.

I am totally not getting lion over rhino. How many natural predators of rhinos are there? I am pretty sure the answer it 0. They have tough skin, theyre strong and fast...I dont get why people think a lion could take one.

Plus rhinos are very ill tempered.

Okay, let's say he is. So he puts the croc in a full-nelson or whatever, he has the croc in some sort of submissive position, now what? he still has to figure out how to kill the damned thing! If it was a timed match than I think the UFC guy could probably pull a draw out of his ass, but if someone has to die its gonna be him every time.

[/ QUOTE ]
The dude has all the time in the world after he gets a hold of that crocodile. I'm sure he could think of something. I suggest going after the eyes. I need to look at the OP but perhaps the ring or whatever this is taken place in could be used against the croc to take hime down. Maybe there is a way just to choke him out.

lions kill the old, young, sick and injured. and they hunt in prides. one on one, the elephant wipes his ass with any of the competition...all of them if he's had chili.

This lion doesn't look particularly happy about that rhino that's looking at him.

Lone rhino:

if you judge a book by its cover, this looks like an easy one, guys.

None of these animals have natural predators really.

That's why this tournament is so great.

Hell, I just called my GF and had her help me vote. She was laughing her ass off.
