I prefer entry fee of $50 or so, but if we do go plus league on yahoo, I don't mind paying an extra $10 or so per team that we will all chip in as well.

It is worth the $10 to me. I like the real time stats and hated waiting until the midnight to see how I did.
Change of subject: I am confused about the keeper draft order. If someone takes over a dead team, why shouldn't they be forced to pick 5 players from that team to keep? Why should they be able to go to the free agent pool? In real baseball when you "buy" a team, you take everything. I think a more fair approach would be that the "dead" teams pay less of an entry fee and the "live" teams pay more. Maybe the money could make up for the disadvantage. Anyways, this is my first keeper league, so I might just be talking out of my butt. craig |

trying to make those people have a sense of attachment to those teams so they continue onward with the league. Also, getting the team that is clearly better than the others probably causes resentment. I'm not against doing it either way.
I need to get unlazy and post rosters. |

I don't mind the idea of having the players inheriting teams to be forced to keep some players from the dead teams. However, maybe a slightly less number of players to keep (3 or 4 instead of 5) might make it a bit more even?
So how are you going to do this bugstud in terms of dead teams and keepers? |

[/ QUOTE ] I think the best way is to have any returning manager keep 5 (as agreed) players, choosing only from their own team, all in the first 5 rounds. The fill in managers would have to pick from a player pool for the first 5 rounds consisting of all players from only the dead teams (in a snake format). This affords the fill ins some personal choice of the players while also preventing resentment from a bad dead team. Thoughts? Let's create the league (Plus) and get it underway, bugstud? Buy in 60? By the way, how do you have the rosters saved? 8 returning: mebenhoe bugstud huskiez ftball0000 craig doughhater b00t z32fanatic 6 fill ins from: pryor15 westside8 jim kuhn sublime roundmound ucf thayer nopeak caldarooni joe tall |

I like that idea with the managers coming in to replace dead teams only drafting from pool of players from dead teams until all teams have access to the general pool after the 5th round.

That's definitely fair. In reality, it doesn't really matter which new team gets what players, because I'm definitely going to roll on everyone this year.
