P2P transfers will be expressly allowed, as will the use of the service for non-gaming.

The only bright spot is that this is NOT something required by law and a work around should spring up.

Isn't that the exact same thing Neteller told the Americans?

Here is a transcript of my chat with a Battlefield Poker representative at 9:00 ET this morning.

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are number 1 in the queue, and the estimated wait time is 0 mins 30 secs.

You are now chatting with 'Vivien'

Your Issue ID for this chat is ....

Vivien: Hello, how may I help you today?

you: Hi Vivien, I have a question for you regarding the use of Neteller

Vivien: Sure thing

you: I am a Canadian player, and as you may or may not know, today Neteller announced that they will no longer be accepting transfers of Canadians to and from gambling merchants as of April 9th

you: I recently made a series of deposits via neteller totalling over $X

you: I know that usually when I withdraw, the first $X will go back to neteller, and then rest of my withdrawal will go to my preferred method requested at cashout

Vivien: I'm sorry but where were you advised of this alleged change to neteller?

you: Neteller issued an official staement about it this morning

you: so, my question for you then is this:

you: If I wait to withdraw from Battlefield poker until after April 9th will the entire amount of my withdrawal just be given to my preferred method selected at cashout since neteller will no longer be allowing transfers to/from gambling merchants for Canadians

Vivien: Okay, we have not been informed by Neteller about these changes and I'm unable to find any sort of announcement on their site about these changes so I really can't comment at the present time.

you: http://www.neteller-group.com/press/en/127.htm

you: there is the announcement

Vivien: Thank you for that, what I'll do now is forward this onto management for further investigation and they will email you once they know more.

you: okay, and can you please put a special note to answer my question about the withdrawal in a timely manner? $X is a lot of money to me and I'd hate for there to be a problem when I try to withdraw it.

Vivien: You should hear an answer within the next 24 hours.
you: Thank you very much for forwarding my concerns

Viven: That's alright
you: I have no further questions...have a good day.

Why on Earth would you wait until after April 9?

I don't see why this is such a bad idea as long as support ensures me I can withdraw it another way. I am concerned about putting extra money into my neteller account at the moment. Can you maybe explain why you think it's so dumb to wait? I must have missed something.

does anyone want to speculate how this will affect NT's plan to begin a payment plan to U.S. customers in 75 days?

Obviously they will be using the Canadian funds to pay back US customers.

My bad. For some reason, I was thinking you were going to try to withdraw to Neteller or something.

I'm sure the poker room will allow you to cashout via a different method.
